recently learned Jubo means canteen in Korean, why did we learn this? Well because there is a current trend in the London food world which involves fried chicken and putting tasty little treats in buns. We’re not just talking burgers here, oh no, it’s slightly more sophisticated and exotic than that babes. We’re talking Asian foods, global foods. And one of the latest is Jubo, who has landed in Shoreditch at The Bedroom Bar.

Now being the greedy little upstarts that we are, we’ve already been, and we’re here to let you know it’s well worth hitting up. Inspired by the Korean trend ‘Anju’, meaning drinking food, you’ll find chicken wings and strips as part of their main crunchy chicken pull. There is also pork belly, slow braised beef or roasted portobello mushrooms served in steamed buns, home-made kimchi, pickles, kimchi-slaw and English style chips.

Quenching the thirst and dampening the fiery chicken wings is Korean Hite beer along with Soju Korea’s national tipple. Dive in, get messy, get on that hot sauce. Na-jung-e bwae-yo!
