REVIEW: IL BARETTO

ILLL
Il Baretto has been serving up authentic Italian to the people of Marylebone since 2009, the restaurant recently had a refurb and we went down to check it out…

There wasn’t a spare table in sight when we visited on a Thursday evening, we sat in the larger dining area downstairs. The menu features a wide range of Italian food from pizzas and pastas to chicken milanese and veal.

We started with the creamy Burrata and Parma Ham which was served in a small mound, definitely enough to share. We followed with the Linguine with lobster, tomato, sweet chili, garlic & white wine sauce, full of flavour the fresh pasta dish hit the spot – the only grumble we had was the lack of lobster meat, for the price we excepted a bit more.

For dessert it was all about the creamy Traditional tiramisù which came with a nice liqueur kick. Il Barretto also has a lengthy Italian wine list or cocktails if you prefer and then there’s the white truffle which they serve by the abundance!

For decent italian grub in Marylebone with bustling surrounds, Il Baretto hits the spot, a great place for entertaining ones clients or parents.
