Yard, the latest London edition to the Firmdale Hotel Group is well and truly open. Located in the heart of Soho the hotel is A LOT more than just a hotel. Oh yes, this hotel has rooms 91 rooms, a roof terrace, outdoor terrace on the ground floor, bowling alley in the basement, cinema room, conservatory, bar and restaurant. It’s HUGE.

We stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard, big comfy bed, sofa and impressive bathroom with big bath and TV (soaking in the tub whilst watching Reading Festival, we’ll take that campers!), walk-in shower and two basins.

We’re not gonna lie, our favourite part of the hotel is in the basement…it’s the bowling alley imported in from Texas and it’s pretty bloody cool alright. Then there’s the colourful bar which is typical Kit Kemp with bright cushions, quirky wallpaper and iconic art.

The breakfast menu beats your usual greasy offerings with a small cold buffet table (hello fresh cakes, pastries, fruit, granola) and a menu featuring the likes of baked eggs, black pudding with bubble and squeak and avocado on rye. There’s fresh smoothies, juices and tea and coffee by the bucket load.

For a hotel that really does have it all in Central London, then look no further than Ham Yard. Oh and the bowling alley and bar is available to hire for parties….and we do love a good party!

Rooms from around £300
