all done it. Wandering around Soho with your friends, proclaiming you know a great little place to eat. “It’s definitely around here somewhere. Honestly, we came here just last week. All these streets look the same though, don’t they?” You’re lost but you won’t admit it. Then you end up in the nearest pub.

Well, if the pub you just so happen upon is The Sun and 13 Cantons on Great Pulteney Street then you’re in luck my friend, because gourmet street food company Got Game has taken up residency there until the end of the month.

Set up by Tom Forster in 2012, Got Game aims to bring game meats and rare breeds to the masses and is all about fresh, quality produce inspired by his hometown of Cornwall, travels in his early twenties and living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

Oh and don’t be fooled by the name, not only is there game on the menu, but you can try yourself a bit of wild boar, venison, pork, duck, and Iron Age Pig Sausage of course! We had a taster board which brought a welcome twist on typical trendy gastro pub food of sliders, scotch eggs and french fries.

All melt-in-your-mouth, tender, well seasoned, AKA AWESOME, we can’t wait to go back and try everything on offer. From the Venison and Chorizo Burger with Spiced Pear and Wild Garlic Cornish Yarg, Streaky Bacon and Watercress to Pheasant Goujons with Harissa and Preserved Lemon Aioli, we reckon we might be making a few visits while this ones in town.

Tom will be in a variety of places across the UK in the coming months and he’s a lovely chap so go get your game on and try something new.
