Generator are fast becoming the go-to name for affordable accommodation that merges the line between hostel and hotel (poshtel anyone?). Their hip urban design and bargain prices (rooms range from €25 per bed with shared bathroom to €98 for a private room), make them a no brainer if you’re looking for a place to crash when exploring cities.
Generator Paris opened in early 2015 in the fash 10th Arrondissement, offering a whopping 916 beds (yes it’s HUGE) ranging from shared dorms to a penthouse suite…Some rooms come with their own private terraces complete with hammock and outdoor seating. The design is slick, contemporary and pleasing to the eye…well this is Paris.
There’sa restaurant, bar and outdoor area on the ground floor and up on the 8th you can chill out, shoot some pool or catch sporting events on the big screen throughout the night – yep it’s open 24 hours. Travelling solo? Then fear not there’s also a range of events that take place each night, just sign up and get ready to mingle.
But our favourite thing about the Gen Paris is the rooftop terrace, which allows you to enjoy sunset views of Montmartre and Sacré Coeur, it’s pretty magical.
Fancy a cheap trip to Paris? Oui Oui? Then make this your base and spend the dollars you save on vin et fromage. Tres bon!
