& Fran is a newish coffee shop located on a residential street in Stoke Newington – conveniently just around the corner from our HQ.  Inside the small coffee shop has a few wooden tables and chairs, but the garden at the back is our favourite place to sit with its cushioned sofas (if the weather permits of course!).

The cafe offers a small menu which changes quite regularly – when we visited the Avocado toast with Fred & Fran hummus got a big THUMBS UP from us but the soups and sarnies also looked pretty good!

The homemade cakes also change regularly, we sampled a Chocolate and Orange Cake which was moist and full of flavour, the rich chocolate icing providing the sweetness to the orange tang. A Chocolate Tart went down a treat, and the selection of teas and coffees are impressive.

Complimentary water is served in old milk bottles, tea pots come with a cosy and there is a small bookshelf filled with cookery books. It’s these quirky touches along with the great food and drinks which make us certain of one thing – we’re about to become regulars at Fred & Fran. Well worth scouting out!
