There’sa new fitness phenomenon in town and it’s on two wheels. On last count, there are now over 20 spin studios in London and as the fitness fanatics that we are, it’s not hard to see why this trend is on the up.
The latest company to jump on the bandwagon, is City-based Edge Cycle. Its newly launched spin class, combined with bootcamp style circuit training, promises to burn-up to 1,000 calories during a 45 minute class. Experienced personal trainers break down the class with fast-paced cycling, interspersed with mat work with the use of dumbbells – anything from planks, crunches, planks, press ups and burpees. And yes, we did say burpees. Combine this with dimmed lighting to help focus on the workout and great tunes, we found this an ideal class to mix-up our interval training routine.
The verdict? A low-impact, high-intensity cardio workout that left us feeling energised and ready to book the next class. The perfect way to start the day. Rocks in at £15 per class!
