We all know that London is the greatest city in the world but we have to admit that there are some things our rival New York does very well. One of those things is brunch. So it’s no surprise that the Hyatt Regency London-The Churchill have caught on and are offering a hearty NY start to your Saturday.
In true American style, this brunch is a buffet so we wore our elasticised pants when we went to check it out. And since it’s also unlimited when it comes to the booze (that includes Prosecco, red and white Italian wines, Aperol Spritz, Bellinis and American lagers thank you very much) we were glad we did.
Get your stomach warmed up with the starters, which include Caesar and Cobb salads, Classic Prawn Cocktail or a selection of cold meats. Then when it’s time to move on to mains you’ll be primed to try the meatballs, grilled sirloin steak and baked potatoes on offer.
But what would any trip to New York be without a slice (or ten) of pizza? The chefs behind the bar will whip you up your very own customised gourmet pizza and pastas that will make you want to start spreading the news. Save room for the dessert bar where you can feast on the New York Cheesecake, Tiramisu or our favourite, the Grand Cru Maracaibo Chocolate Cake.
Set in the elegant Montagu dining room with live music to accompany, Saturday Brunch is the perfect way to while away a rainy afternoon with the girls or take visitors to impress.
