can’t beat a cluckin’ good piece of fried chicken, sometimes that’s all you need. Simple and effective. BIRD in Shoreditch serves just that, free range fried chicken that comes a number of ways. Our favourite way, of course, has to be the Chicken & Waffle Burger, boneless thighs, thick cut bacon, American cheese, crispy shallots, hot sauce and Canadian maple syrup sandwiched between two cheddar & onion waffles. It really needs to be seen (and eaten!) to be believed…

We also digged the fried chicken sarnie, the chicken and waffles with a hot and sweet glaze and the jalapeño corn pudding. And, then, there’s the desserts, donut ice-cream sarnies, donut holes with salted caramel dip and ice-cream sundaes.

Food comes fast, the decor has just enough quirk and the service has a smile. For a fried chicken feast, with none of the grease BIRD is where it’s at!
