REVIEW: BERNERS TAVERN LAUNCHES ARVO MENU
One of our fav London restaurants – not least because of THAT dining room – has gone and launched an afternoon menu. For those times when you’re too late for lunch because, well lets face it you got stuck shopping for just that little bit too long…
Available between 3pm and 5.15pm, the menu features a selection of “savoury”, think everything from Truffled Ogleshield cheese and onion toastie, with branston pickles & fries and Lobster and prawn brioche rolls. We LOVED the crispy Pork Scratchings and the hearty cornish cod, borlotti bean and chorizo minestrone, piquillo peppers.
Then there’s the “sweets” which are your standard size desserts and the “minis” which are bite size. OK, OK we tried some of both, we’d been slogging it away around those shops. The Strawberry trifle with berry crumble and scottish raspberry pavlova, red wine and raspberry granite were both generous portions and delish whilst the donut holes with chocolate dip finished us right off.
There’s also cocktails, coffees and wines, for you know….Ladies who lunch.
