one for the dance-ier side of indie lovers from Iceland’s biggest export since Byork. Already an award winning, gold disc holding, chart topping band in their home country of Iceland, Retro Stefson present their eponymous debut album release on March 25th through Les Frères Stefson and with a show at The Lexington on the same date. Retro Stefson, fronted by brothers Unnsteinn and Logi Stefánsson, have been making music since they were 16 – a fact that goes some way to explain how a band quite so young sounds so mature. Taking influences equally from the worlds of dance, pop and indie, Retro Stefson’s new found 7-piece line-up create a live show that we hear is truly extraordinary. We’ll have to go to the Lexington and find out ourselves eh.
