Retan, the collab project from Cameron Dewar and Josh Dallaway, is hosting its final supper club of 2021 at The Laughing Heart on Hackney Road. The pair (Cameron does the wine, Josh does the food) met at Sager & Wilde and designed Retan to be a touring supper club, with the aim to take it across Europe. The big C got in the way of that so they’ve been roving around London instead, popping up at the likes of Untitled, Legare and Crispin.
The menu for The Laughing Heart, coming in at £45 for four courses plus snacks, includes dishes like raw scallop with fermented cep & creme fraice, hay baked pumpkin with bread miso & pears, and crumble of celeriac & apple with white truffle honey & duck egg custard.
