days are getting shorter and the mornings are starting to feel a little frosty. That can only mean that winter is fast approaching but fear not, because that means that Christmas is on its way and we can feel less guilty about eating comfort food and drinking mulled wine and spiced cider.

We’re also pretty excited about the Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar which will be popping up in Brick Lane from 26th October until 6th November. The bar will be surrounded by pine trees for that authentic Swedish feel, with native bites and canapés served by Norse by Norswest including elk sausage rolls, cheese croquettes with cloudberry chutney and naturally, Swedish meatballs. There will also be Rekorderlig winter cider served hot for that extra Christmassy feel or for the more adventurous Rekorderlig cocktails.

Scandinavian DJs will be spinning tunes from the region too – hopefully more Peter, Bjorn and John and less Abba. Project Fresh Socks will be behind the decks with live music coming from hotly-tipped solo artist Faye.

Tickets cost just £5 and include a free tasting tray of ciders.

Tickets are available from Facebook.com/Rekorderlig now, with a very limited number available on the door each night on a first come first served basis.
