refugee week at wework

Refugee Week, which will see events and activities raising awareness of refugee struggles and celebrating their contribution to the UK up and down the country, is approaching. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the initiative, WeWork is hosting two special events of their own in their Waterhouse Square site.

The first is the #BakeForSyria book launch and ‘How to Turn Your Passion into Social Impact’ discussion on 20th June, World Refugee Day. Co-founder of #CookForSyria Serena Guen and Jaz & Nils O’Hara, the siblings behind The Worldwide Tribe and Jangala, will be speaking about how they have achieved social change through something they’re passionate about. On the following day WeWork is teaming up with UNCHR, the UN Refugee Agency, for #withrefugees an evening of refugee arts, music, food and culture.

Both events are free to attend so RVSP and show your support by clicking the links above!
