It’s official, milk floats are making a comeback – well they are in East London anyway – as first The Dusty Knuckle got one and now TopUp Truck is out on road too. The truck is essentially a refill store on wheels (just like the Fair-Well float that’s driving around North London) and it’s stocked with a bunch of zero-waste groceries and household items. Most of the food produce is organic and vegan; all the cleaning and toiletry products are vegan, cruelty-free and made in the UK; and they try to source items as locally as possible.
You can see which parts of Hackney the truck will be in on Instagram Stories or you can book them to come to you, and then you just need clean containers and you’re ready to shop.
