PUNCHDRUNK ENRICHMENT TO TAKE UP RESIDENCY AT WEMBLEY PARK

The immersive and educational experience group is moving to Brent

Punchdrunk Enrichment, an educational charity and offshoot of the immersive theatre giants Punchdrunk, has announced that they’ll be taking up a three-year residency in Wembley Park from April this year. The theatre company will transform a disused industrial site into an ‘immersive arts space’ where they’ll support local artist development, host experiences for families and provide training opportunities for Brent-based young people.

As well as a public programme of events and initiatives, Punchdrunk Enrichment will also present a number of immersive projects for primary schools across Brent, including The Lost Lending Library, a literacy project that sees a mysterious travelling library appear overnight in a primary school. Punchdrunk Enrichment has already brought this project to over 75 schools and benefitted more than 40,000 children.

this comes as the charity’s latest and most ambitious residency to date, following a stint in Tottenham Hale where they set up a fully functioning townlet called Fallow Cross and one at Greenhive Care Home where they set up an immersive village green complete with a florist, a phone box, and the smell of freshly cut grass.
