So our love affair with The Hawley Arms has begun again, following a whole six month split. In fact we never did get fully back together after the fire, it changed everything. But after a visit last Friday it seems the atmosphere and randomness which make it such a great place hang out have returned.
The Hawley Arms is located in Camden, just opposite the market. One of our favourite things about the pub is the fact it gets the mix just right – loud enough to hear the music and quite enough to talk. The pub contains a mixture of punters and you’ll always find yourself chatting to some random. Plus if you go right to the top of the stairs there’s a secret room and you’ll usually find the odd celeb milling about, last Friday Noel Fielding was there looking his unusual sober self.
We recommend visiting on a Friday or during the week but avoid Saturdays it’s tourist central.
