Whether Printworks returns or not remains to be seen, but the current iteration of the club saying farewell in style

The future of Printworks is still up in the air. The venue is set to close in 2023 so that the site can be redeveloped, but the team are in talks with British Land to save the club and preserve the essence of the Press Halls, so it may well return to life in a couple of years. Until then, as is their style, the crew are bowing out with a bang, with an epic final season for the spring.

The programme is a true celebration of the last six years, with the likes of Body Movements; DnB Allstars, La Discothéque with Derrick Carter, Jayda G and Erol Alkan; AVA Festival with Max Cooper and Mall Grab; Hospitality; Sulta Selects; Glitterbox: ANTS with Andrea Oliva and Nic Fanciulli; Knee Deep In Sound with Hot Since 82 and Franky Wah; Ed Banger Records with Justice and Annie Mac; ABODE with Groove Armada and Yousef; and Defected with Hannah Wants and Darius Syrossian; The Final Frontier with Honey Dijon all taking over the decks, plus live shows from Aurora Orchestra and Southbank Centre and the London Symphony Orchestra with Soweto Kinch.

The Hydra will be hosting massive takeover TEACHERS over Easter, with iconic institutions fabric, FWD>>, Plastic People, Tresor and That’s How It Is!, each curating line-ups. Fabric is bringing in the likes of Fatima Yamaha Dusky, and Âme; Skream, D Double E, Ben UFO and Coki will be in the house with FWD>>; Plastic People will have Actress, Benji B and Jamie xx on the bill; Jeff Mills, Ben Klock and Surgeon are coming with Tresor; with Gilles Peterson, Bonobo and Nightmares on Wax rounding things out with That’s How It Is!

And on top of all that, there’ll be a mega closing weekend taking place across the May Bank Holiday too, featuring the likes of Black Coffee, Camelphat, Dixon, HAAi, Roisin Murphy, Sherelle, Folamour, TSHA, Peggy Gou, Maya Jane Coles, DJ Koze, Shy One and some more special guests passing through. What a way to say goodbye.
