Since opening in 2013, concept store Portamento has been bringing high quality footwear and accessories to East London. Inspired by their Italian roots as well as coming from a family fashion business dating back to the 1920s, Sara Reverberi and James Mariotti have created a brand and store which provides not only well-designed, leather goods, but also a bo-ho space of photography, accessories, jewellery and Italian food.
In their SS14 collection, Sara and James have served up some killer heels, Chelsea boots, wedges and sandals for the ladies and even some men’s Oxford and boat shoes, leather trainers and canvas sneakers. With classic styles given an East London/Italian twist and some serious attention to detail, this latest offering from Portamento has got bags of style and lashings of Italian heritage. With prices ranging from £159 to £219 the shoes are really reasonably priced for the style and substance that you get.
