You can never have too many bacon & maple swirls in our humble opinion and Pophams seems to agree as they’ve opened a third bakery in Victoria Park Village, to join their existing sites in Islington and London Fields. The new spot has flown under the radar a little and quietly started doing business (the official opening date is 5th April but locals have already been flocking in). Whereas the London Fields bakery opens in the evening with an excellent pasta menu, this branch will just be running a day time offering, including coffee, yoghurt bowls, pastries including the bacon & maple swirl, rosemary & sea salt twist and Marmite & Schlossberger swirl, sourdough toasites, and weekend specials like speculoos & blood orange pastries.
As well as serving up the good stuff, the space also looks the part with fittings from Tatara Workshop and ceramics from Kimberly Chan, and there’s more homeware (which you can buy from the Pophams Home online shop) on display too – it’s the perfect addition to the village.
