The next installment of the Spiritland Royal Festival Hall supper club is here, with Poon’s taking over for a night of Chinese food, drinks and music. Founded by Bill Poon, the restaurant was a stalwart on the London dining scene from 1973 to 2003, and was then revived by his daughter Amy in 2018 with a critically-acclaimed pop-up in Clerkenwell, followed by the Poon’s Wontoneria pop-up and retail range of sauces. Now the pair will be showcasing more family recipes at Spiritland, with a menu including pork & bamboo shoot wontons with crack sauce, beggar’s bowl hakka pork belly, chargrilled aubergine in Lisle Street zha jiang suace, Bill Poon’s fried chicken wings and traditional Chinese almond milk dessert.
