Get ready to pop some bottles as wine club, restaurant, cellar and store Planque is opening in a set of double railway arches in Haggerston. The clubhouse will be open to members and as well as providing a space for wine lovers to hang out and drink, it also comes with access to benefits like in-house cellar storage and priority access to wine events and restaurant reservations.
The 40-seat restaurant, run by Seb Myers (previously of P. Franco), will be open to everyone and will serve up a modern French menu that pairs well with wine. And you’ll be able to get goods to go from the store, which will be stocked with specialist foods and wine and kitchen equipment. Sounds like this is gonna be a strong addition to the city’s wine bar scene.
