what the pitta to open in camden

If your doner kebab habit was the only thing holding you back from becoming fully vegan, then the final hurdle is about to fall with the launch of What the Pitta’s first permanent site. Opening up in Camden in March, the guys were previously operating from a street food stall at The Pump in Shoreditch where they won praise from fans including JME and Fat Gay Vegan.

They’ll be offering an entirely meat free-kebab experience that’s based around non-GM soya marinated in a blend of Middle-Eastern spices and wrapped in a homemade bread with salad, chilli sauce, hummus and non-dairy tzatziki. There’ll also be a vegan take on the lahmacun topped with minced soya and vegetables, a couscous salad box, and (the one we like the sound of best) vegan doner and chips. All sounds delicious and healthy but will it do the trick after 10 pints? We’ll be sure to let you know.

Opens Fri 9th March 2018
89-91 Bayham St, London NW1 0AG
