Bateau has just grown up, literally. For the first time ever, in their 120 years, the French brand has created a Shoreditch pop-up strictly for grown ups.

DJ duo turned designers Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki of Maison Kitsuné fame, who last year were appointed as Petit Bateau’s artistic directors have created SS14 and AW14 collections for men and women, adding an understated, modern chic to the wardrobe staples of many Parisians…and now the crowds of Shoreditch.

The Charlotte Road space has been designed by London based landscape practice Wayward Plants to create an urban jungle of tropical flora and sun bleached wood which is the perfect backdrop for the SS14 collection which includes the signature ‘marinière’ Breton stripe, vibrant prints and a colour palette of putty toned pastels.
