If ever there was a time to take a break from the distractions of modern life and focus on connecting with the people around you, it’s International Day of Peace – on 21st September so mark your calendars! Lipton, the world’s leading tea brand, is making that possible by teaming up with global non-profit Peace One Day and using its advertising space across 16 countries to remind everyone to ‘peace out’ on the day. That could be taking an extra ten minutes for yourself in the morning, staying off social media for the day, or making time to have a cuppa with a friend because Lipton and Peace One Day believe peace is possible when people take a few moments to connect with one another.

For the second year running Lipton will also be sponsoring Peace Day Live, Peace One Day’s ground-breaking, digital event co-produced by founder Jeremy Gilley and actor Jude Law, designed to spread the message of peace and non-violence across the world. The event, broadcast live to every continent in the world, will feature a host of actors, musicians and speakers, including singer-songwriter Calum Scott and 17-time Grammy Award winner Sting, as well as six livestreamed panel discussions. You can register for free here to join the Peace One Day Live Global Digital Experience on 21st September.

The goal of Peace One Day is to reach 3 billion people with a message of peace on International Day of Peace by 2025 and through collabs like this one with Lipton, it can become a reality. As WeiWei Yao, CEO Pepsi Lipton, says, “Connection truly is a force and foundation for peace. We are delighted to be partnering with Peace One Day again this year and using the global power and visibility of our brand to spread a positive message.” Peace out people.
