Skitrip not in the budget this Christmas? Well fear not, you can get piste in Soho. Before you get too excited you won’t be ‘shooping’ down any slopes in there…but they have created the Patagonian inspired Soho Ski and Rum Chalet, and the après ski is the best part anyway right?
The venue has created a whole world within its walls that’s in stark contrast to the rest of the bar and eatery. Tucked under the stairs is a sort of pimped out version of Harry Potter’s former lodgings, there’s wooden barrels for tables, cushioned logs, comfy sofas or a converted chair lift to sit on. To really give you that authentic feeling you will be scrambling over ski boots and fur rugs, and surrounded by antlers adorning the walls.
It’s the perfect place to cosy up with one of their own takes on the more traditional festive drinks. Mulled wine infused with rum, or for that chocolate fix get your rum mixed with a steaming hot chocolate in a cute little china mug. If you’re peckish whilst you’re snuggling in the furs and looking through the velvet curtains onto the snowy backdrop, order some of the delicious Patagonian inspired nibbles – the beef or veggie empanadas were our personal fave.
It’s open now in the evenings until Feb – so duck into this hide away for a cosy treat!
