We may have passed the peak of the fresh pasta craze that gripped London over the last few years but new opening Pastore Pasta proves that we’re not ready to give up on the carbs just yet. Based in Hackney Downs Studios, the fresh pasta joint is run by Jake and Olly (who met at Marcus at The Berkeley) and specialises in seasonal ancient grain pasta made with the best British produce.
It’s a simple menu featuring the likes of Einkorn arancini with spenwood & lemon thyme; La Latteria burrata with fresh chestnuts; sheep’s ricotta & sorrel agnolotti with roasted celeriac brodo; oxtail ragu with pappardelle; spaghetti vongole; and tiramisu profiterole. And the pasta is low in gluten so it’s better for anyone with an intolerance!
