Big news for wine lovers
Luca Dusi opened Passione Vino in Shoreditch in 2015 and over the last ten years, he’s built it into one of the best wine bars in the city. Known for its wide-ranging selection of Italian wines (but no wine list – you get bottles recommended instead), homemade pastas and colourful, homely interiors, it’s become a cult fave for good reason. And now Luca is expanding, opening a second Passione Vino in Exmouth Market.
Like the original, the new 30-cover bar, housed inside a former tattoo studio, will showcase Luca’s passion for Italian wines (and beyond). There’ll be no wine list, with Luca and the team suggesting bottles and creating pairings that are individual to each drinker, so you’re highly likely to discover new bottles. There’ll be a range of Italian sandwiches to go with your wine, with Altamura and Schiacciata breads filled with the likes of oxtail, smoked trout, cotechino and sardines. As well as being a place to pop in for a glass of wine and a sandwich, Passione Vino Exmouth Market will also host tastings, supper clubs and collab events, so there’ll be plenty going on.
Speaking about the new opening, Luca said: “Passione Vino has always been about more than wine. It’s about people, connections, and discovery. With the new bar in Clerkenwell, we’re expanding the family. We’re bringing across everything we love from Shoreditch, adding new bottles, new flavours, and new experiences, all while celebrating the incredible history of this building. We can’t wait to welcome people in. Ciao!”
