Much-loved London Fields Italian joint LARDO is heading to E17 this August, taking over the kitchen at 40ft Brewery in Walthamstow for two stints: Thurs 20th – Sun 23rd August and Thurs 27th – Mon 31st August.
Recently-appointed head chef Marta Sandini and the rest of the LARDO team are bringing their signature menu with them, alongside dishes designed specifically for the occasion, such as a kofte kebab pizza and one topped with aubergine, courgette and fior di latte. There’ll be a line-up of aperitivo-style snacks to go with the pints too, including fritto misto and brown butter mayo and carbonara fritti.
The residency builds to DISCO LARDO Presented by Campari (Sun 30th August), which will see 40ft Walthamstow taken over with an all-day Italian party. Expect a soundtrack firmly rooted in Italo disco, Campari-fuelled aperitivo drinking, 40ft beers on tap and a one-off BBQ menu from Marta, with plenty of wings.
