Is there a better way to spend a spring Sunday than by soaking up music, arts & crafts, culture and street food in one of London’s nicest open spaces? Yes Urban Village Fete is back on Greenwich Peninsula this May with a packed programme of music, talks, activities, and more, and best of all it’s totally FREE to attend.
As well as Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy recording her Balearic Breakfast show live from the main stage and Bradley Zero taking to the decks to close out the event, this year’s edition of Urban Village Fete also features talks on urban food planning, creating an urban village and creative London in a post-pandemic world hosted by Robert Elms and Melissa Tutesigensi, plus an ‘in conversation with’ and book reading by author Paul Wood.
If you’re feeling particularly active you can also get involved with dance classes, yoga, hula-hooping, and double-dutch skipping. Or you could browse the sustainable, ethical and indie brands on offer at the designer-maker market before kicking back with a couple of cocktails and some grub from one of the artisan producers and street food traders, watch the street performers do their thing and (hopefully) catch a few rays in the process. Bring on festival season we say.
