Pario to Open at Damien Hirst’s Newport Street Gallery

Newport Street Gallery has been without a restaurant for a good few years since Mark Hix closed his spot Pharmacy 2 but now a new kitchen is popping up in the space. Charles Bryant, who’s worked at The Dorchester and Alyn Williams at the Westbury as well as doing pop-ups around town, and private chef George Browne are teaming up to open Pario at the gallery during Frieze Week.

The menu will include a rotating selection of sharing plates, such as:

  • ex-dairy dry-aged ribeye
  • barbecued Cornish lobster tail with tempura claws, hash browns and fennel seed mayo
  • house crispy potatoes with confit garlic and beef dripping
  • milk ice cream affogato

The restaurant is only going to be open at Newport Street Gallery for four days (no word yet on whether the concept will move elsewhere afterwards), with dinner service running across the whole stint plus lunch on the Friday and Saturday, so if you want to get in there and try it, don’t hang about.
