PACSUN AND THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART HAVE TEAMED UP FOR A COLLAB COLLECTION

The American fashion brand has gone all arty with a little help from the iconic NYC institution

For those of you who haven’t shopped in an American mall, PacSun is the equivalent of one of our high street brands, which originally focused on West Coast-inspired skate and surf style but has since moved more into the streetwear space and started partnering with other brands. One of its more unlikely pairings has been with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, with the idea being that PacSun’s clothing would help engage the youth with the long-standing museum.

The two have released three collab drops already, with pieces referencing NYC landmarks and paintings by artists such as Van Gogh and Frances Flora Bond Palmer, and now the fourth collection, which centres around Greek and Roman art, has landed. The range features marble head motifs and statue graphics across tees, trackies, sweaters and bomber jackets, as well as long-sleeved tees, satin corset tops and midi skirts featuring The Met’s logo.

Speaking of the latest drop, Richard Cox, VP of Men’s and Global Partnerships at PacSun, said “This collection represents a merge of historical significance and contemporary style, allowing us to showcase iconic artworks in a new light. With each release, we aim to open the world of art to our young audience and beyond. We are excited to see how our customers will infuse these designs into their personal styles.”

So if you’re never gonna make it to the Met Gala, there’s still a way for you to get your hands on some of the museum’s fashion history – and yes, this ships to the UK.
