With festivals than your nana has big pants these days it’s a daunting task choosing where might be good to go. Do you follow the crowds, commit to a half announced line up or hit abroad? Well this year we’ve chosen to spend our summer festival at Optimus Alive in Lisbon, Portugal and we’ll tell your for why! One, its Portugal, it’s going to be decent weather, if it does rain it will help our sunburn. Second, the line up so far looks incredible with The Stone Roses, The Cure and Radiohead headlining over the three days. Thirdly, it’s in bloody Portugal man. With Florence, DDG’s, The Kills, Metronomy, The Maccabees and Warpaint also on the bill and more acts to be announced I think you will agree it’s our cup of tea.
more Further more it is relatively unknown, compared to major festivals anyway so will be mainly attracting the music fan rather than the mainstream hangers on. The Festival takes place on the 13th, 14th and 15th of July. Camp if you will, all the bungalows have sold out but tickets are relatively cheap rocking in at under £90 for the three days. We will give you all the low down when we’re back and maybe we can make it the place to be for years to come.
