If you like nosing around other people’s pads then you won’t wanna miss Open House London. For nine days in September hundreds of buildings in the capital, many of which are usually closed to the public, swing open their doors and let you have a look inside. After running on a smaller scale last year, 2021’s edition is going to much bigger with the return of many in-person events, and there’ll also be a focus on pubs and breweries and their importance to the capital.
Highlights of the programme this year include tours of 10 Downing Street, Erno Goldfinger’s Trellick Tower, St Bart’s Hospital, The George Inn, South Norwood Library, City Hall, the Design District in Greenwich, and Holborn House, a community centre that’s yet to open to the public. And as ever, it’s totally FREE, so go exploring.
