If you like nosing around other people’s pads then you won’t wanna miss Open House London. For one weekend in September around 800 buildings in the capital, many of which are usually closed to the public, swing open their doors and let you have a look inside. 2020’s edition is going to be smaller in scale, with many of the big tours moving online, but there will still be some buildings open for visits and self-guided tours.

If you do want to go out exploring, The Old Royal Naval College, Nunhead Cemetery and New Scotland Yard (there’s a ticket ballot for this one) will be open, or you could go on walks that explore 20 years of TfL or Black History in St Paul’s. One of the biggun’s is welcoming us in as the Royal Opera House opens its doors to the public after a 6 month hiatus. That’s gonna be a popular one for sure. And as ever, it’s totally FREE.
