If you’re after something special to do when lockdown ends, or even something to see you through the next few weeks, then check out the AMAZING lots in the charity auction Today’s Special. Running as two separate auctions, the first, a silent auction is live now and features amazing prizes like a year of ‘All In’ at Blacklock, a Kerb gold card, BBQ Adam Handling’s house, stays in swishy hotels and TONS MORE HERE.
Then there’s the Live Auction happening on July 1st hosted by Andi Oliver and Oliver Peyton, alongside auctioneer Tom Best. The event is going to be live-streamed on Zoom, with lots from chefs such as a private dinner cooked in your home by Jason Atherton and Claude Bosi, virtual cooking class with Tom Kerridge, Angela Hartnett, and Michel Roux Jr, as well as the nation’s favourite high-end and high-street restaurants, including a day cooking in Hawksmoor kitchens for you and three mates, a boozy meal with Fergus & Trevor at St. John and many, many more.
All the money raised from Today’s Special will be split between Action Against Hunger and Hospitality Action, organisations that support those at risk of hunger in the UK and around the world, as well as hospitality workers hit hardest by the industry shutdown in the UK.
The Live Auction will begin at 8pm on July 1st and if you want to join in you can nab a ticket here for the event (free with a suggested donation £5), which will give access to the Zoom livestream and enable them to place bids on as many auctions as they like using a virtual paddle. Ticket holders will also be able to participate in a silent auction which will include more than 100 lots from every corner of the country.
