Remember those awesome days you used to spend with your grandparents when you were young? Those days during the summer holidays bonding with them, learning from them and hopefully picking up a few life skills on the way? Well if you do and you want to relive those days or even if you don’t and you feel like you’ve missed out you can get the experience for one day on with The Amazings, a group of older people with skills honed over a lifetime that they can share with you.
On Saturday 28th April, they will be hosting a workshop experience where you can learn skills such as wild cooking, glass painting and cutting, knitting or wallet making. A £45 ticket entitles you to choose two of these sessions and includes lunch, drinks and any materials you may use, with the session lasting from 11am to 3.30pm.
Based on City Road, it’s just a short walk from Old Street station (we’re not going to make the pun, we’re better than that), and should be a great chance to meet some very interesting and different people that we otherwise may not have the chance to.
