Omakase restaurant Roji has only just opened in Mayfair but we’ve got another on the way, via Lebanon this time, as Mayha is heading for Marylebone. The restaurant will be a sister site to the Mayha in Beirut and it’ll be the first opening in the UK for the Nothing But Love Group, which boasts a number of restaurants across Lebanon, like The Backburner, Skirt, and Maryool.
The two-floor spot on Chiltern Street will feature a curved stone counter underneath a custom light installation on the ground floor, the main dining space, with a wrought-iron staircase leading down to a raw bar and courtyard on the lower ground level. Chefs Jurek Wasio and Yuichi Nakaya from Mayha Beirut will be heading up the kitchen, serving a daily changing menu. We don’t know what any of the dishes will be yet, but you can expect both Japanese and locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, with sakes, fine wines, rare spirits and beers on the drinks list, so watch this space for more…
