If you watched this year’s Great British Menu and liked the look of Oli Marlow’s score-topping menu, you can now try it for yourselves as he’s cooking it in full at Rondo at The Hoxton, Holborn this month. The Aulis London Executive Chef earned the highest score in the programme’s history with his four-course menu during the London & South East regional heats, with his internet-inspired Special Delivery main course of guinea fowl breast, stuffed chicken wings, barbecued pickled maitake mushrooms, mushroom & miso ketchup, crispy potato nest, and confit egg yolk making it all the way to the final banquet.
As well as the winning main course, you’ll be able to try the rest of Oli’s menu during the three-day residency, including the Jerusalem artichoke, Ragstone cheese & pickled onion starter; the fish course of lobster, barbecued kalettes & black garlic; and the canned pudding of condensed milk cake, toffee apple, chamomile cream & Earl Grey ice cream. The four-course menu will cost £95 per person, with an optional wine pairing chosen by Simon Rogan Group Head Sommelier Valentin Mouillard at £45 per person.
