Old Street pasta institute Officina 00 has opened its doors to its second site, this time in Central in the heart of Fitzrovia. Founded by chefs Enzo Mirto and Elia Sebregondi, Officina 00 built up quite the rep for its freshly made pasta and authentic, hearty Italian dishes and their Fitzrovia site, which is located on a quiet corner close to Goodge Street station, shows why that’s the case.
The men is inspired by the traditions and ingredients from Enzo and Elia’s hometown of Naples. It starts strong with snack offering, including the panko lasagne with aioli and fried cacio & pepe ravioli. It wouldn’t be a trip to Officina 00 without trying one of their pasta dishes, and there are plenty to choose from including corzetti with wild mushrooms and fusilli with a padron pepper and almond pesto. To wash all those Italian carbs down, you can order one of their twisted negronis or a bottle of one of the many Italian wines on the wine list.
