A slice of NYC has come to Dalston as Papo’s Bagels has set up shop in the ‘hood. Set up by New Yorkers Papo and Georgia after they missed real deal NY bagels, Papo’s Bagels had been running as a delivery service (which is still going) during lockdown but now the pair have opened a bricks and mortar spot on Shacklewell Lane so you can pick up your bagels in person.
And about those bagels – Papo’s does plain, salt, everything, onion, poppy, sesame and cinnamon & raisin bagels, which are all hand-rolled and baked fresh every morning. You can’t have a bagel without cream cheese, so they’ve got you covered there with plain, chive, olive, and scallion schmear on offer, plus smoked salmon and tuna salad to add on top too. Papo’s even does handy bundles with everything in one box so you never have to be without bagels for brekkie again.
