North 3rd Street Market, Williamsburg’s new indoor food hall, is now officially open, and we’ve been down there to eat at (almost) every trader to bring you our guide to the very best bites.
1. Cheese Burger at Corner Bistro
It’ll come as no surprise that burger legends Corner Bistro are one of the absolute highlights of the market. Their juicy burgers simply dressed with tomato, lettuce, onion, ketchup, and mustard, and squashed into a soft potato bun is just about as good as it gets.
2. Dry Aged Beef Potstickers at East Wind Snack Shop
East Wind Snack Shop are serving up some seriously good, freshly made dumplings. The potstickers, made with 28 day dry aged beef are the winners here but the juicy pan fried pork dumplings aren’t far behind. If we had to choose we’d have to say – just get both.
3. Square Pizza at Di Fara
Another NY legend, this time in the pizza game, Di Fara has set up shop in a nice corner unit at the rear of the market. The slices are great but we think the square pizza pie is even better. Keep it simple with fresh tomato sauce and stringy mozzarella or add toppings for a couple of dollars more – the pepperoni and the meatballs are both excellent.
4. New England Lobster Roll at Lobster Joint
Fresh lobster in a bun with pickle and herb mayo… it’s a simple but winning combo and here at the Lobster Joint it’s done very well indeed.
5. Spicy Tuna Combo at GoFish Sushi Box
if you’re in a hurry you can grab a box of sushi from the fridge to take away but if you’ve got a little more time, ask them to whip you up a spicy tuna combo box. As well as spicy tuna rolls, you’ll get an assortment of nigiri including salmon and yellowtail, all freshly made just for you.
6. EVERYTHING at Bien Cuit
Aside from baking some beautiful loaves, James Beard 2018 semi-finalist Bien Cuit has a seriously strong pastry game – we’re talking strawberry and basil Danishes, cinnamon sugar roules, and chocolate almond croissants. You really can’t go wrong here but if you see the nectarine danish special definitely get that… but really, just get it all.
