NOMAD LONDON TO OPEN IN COVENT GARDEN

NoMad is officially crossing the pond as the hotel, which has outposts in NYC, Las Vegas and LA, is opening in Covent Garden this May. The hotel will take over the Bow Street Magistrates Court and Police Station – one of team LOTI got a look inside the building ten years ago and it’s a beaut – turning the space into 92 bedrooms, drawing on the original architecture and features for the design. Think English heritage meets NY art scene.

The original courtroom will be turned into a private events space, there’ll also be an on-site museum with rotating exhibitions that touch on the history of the Met Police, and the hotel will also be home to the first ever NoMad lounge, craft cocktail bar Common Decency. Executive Chef Ashley Abodeely (previously Exec Sous Chef at NoMad in NYC) will be overseeing the food, including the NoMad restaurant, housed inside a huge atrium, which will offer all-day dining and NYC-style weekend brunch whilst Side Hustle will be more relaxed, serving casual small plates and agave-based spirits.
