The 2014 motion picture just picked up ‘Best Film’ in the NME Awards where Director Elaine Constantine said “Bloody hell 17 years in fruition. Thanks so much, a public vote means a lot. We didn’t get any funding for this film.’ showing that the power still lives on!
Nightspot Cinema are hosting a special pop-up for one night only to celebrate all of what the film brings together. Held in Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club the night will be a chance to fully immerse yourself in the film and watch on the big screen. Plus there’s big beats after the screening with a mix of Northern Soul, Motown, R&B, 80’s Soul, Rare Groove, Disco, Hip Hop & Funk, you can meet and greet the cast, crew and dancers from the film, you can trade records at the swap shop and see a Bruce Lee inspired dance off. YES!
