Nick Jones Is Opening a New London Hotel

It’s his first hotel project since leaving Soho House in 2022

After founding Soho House in 1995 – he opened the first location above his restaurant Café Boheme – and growing it into an international empire encompassing members’ clubs, workspaces, cinemas, and restaurants, Nick Jones stepped down as CEO of the company in 2022. Last summer, under his new Jones & Co group, he opened Corner Shop 180 a grocery, deli, bakery, cafe, and wine bar, basically a one-stop-shop for all things foodie, at the 180 the Thames complex on the Strand.

Last year news also broke that he was getting back into the hotel game and opening the St. Clement Hotel above the shop in 2026. He’s managed to open it for soft launch relatively under the radar. The property boasts 90 bedrooms, 15 apartments, and has a pool, gym and spa opening in September.

A rooftop restaurant called Lunette, which will be helmed by Florence Knight, will also be opening in September but if you’re staying at the hotel over the summer, you’ll still have plenty to eat and drink. There’s the all-day Cafe Clement, complete with garden and terrace seating, which is being led by ex-River Cafe chef Danny Bohan. His menu includes dishes like steak tartare, open Scottish lobster omelette, comté ravioli, whole baked trout with spring peas and hollandaise, and roast duck for two. Bobbi’s Bar is also open, with a late closing time of 3am, and of course, there’s Corner Shop just downstairs too.

Sounds like another winner for Jones.
