With
London business on full throttle Olympics there is still much hype surrounding accommodation – Will hotels sell out? Will rates be massive? Can we let our house out? Decisions, decisions! And now there is another contender in the ring, The Victoria Park House company. The company is a collection of flats and houses to let in Victoria Park which is handily a short walk away from the Olympic sites thus dispelling the need to kill yourself on public transport, because let’s face it TFL will be A NIGHTMARE!
The ‘home from home’ accommodation, ranges from one-bedroom urban apartments to four-bedroom townhouses. The properties are available for short stays (minimum three-nights), from £120 per room per night. Cheaper than most hotels then plus think of the money you’ll save on transport!
Our fave is the Lightbox townhouse, overlooking Victoria Park with roof garden, four-bedrooms (sleeping up to seven people), kitchen and open plan dining and living space. But it ain’t cheap clocking in at £3000 for a three-night break (around £143 per person per night).
If you are thinking of hitting the big smoke for the Olympics and you don’t manage to score a £1 room at Hoxton then you might want to check out the pads.
