Lookie lookie there is another new London hotel on the horizon and it’s set to open before the Olympics. The Ampersand Hotel located in South Kensington is one of London’s original Victorian boutique hotels built in 1888. The new hotel will have 110 individually designed rooms with balconied suites, splashes of contemporary art, a ground floor patisserie, Bellini bar, destination dining room with signature chef and gym.
Spaces are inspired by the nearby Natural History Museum, musical items and trinkets collected from across the world, we’re expecting an eclectic mix of furniture which seems to be the interior design trend in London hotels at the moment (think Zetter Townhouse). If these CGI’s from Dextor Moren Associates are anything to go by we have a feeling we’ll like this hotel a lot!
No opening date announced yet but it must be pretty soon if they intend to open before the Olympics – we’ll keep a close eye out for deets…
