Whitechapel is getting a brand new boutique hotel this autumn when the New Road Hotel swings open its doors. Housed in a former textile factory that has been empty since 2000, the hotel will have 80 rooms, ranging from pocket size to warehouse size to loft size (these have a terrace and some one even comes with a hot tub), each with exposed brick, large windows, Hypnos beds, rainfall showers and 49″ flatscreen TVs. There’ll also be a fitness studio on the roof and lobbies on each floor so you’ll have to space to hang around outside the rooms. Marco Pierre White is also involved in the hotel, opening up Mr White’s English Chophouse as the in-house restaurant. Sounds like they’re onto a winner with this one (even though it’s in Whitechapel…).
Opening October 2017
