NEW MIDDLE EASTERN COCKTAIL BAR OPENS ON BROADWAY MARKET

One Saturday is Hackney‘s new neighbourhood spot, bringing modern Middle Eastern food and cocktails to Broadway Market. Interior-wise this place is pretty sleek and contemporary too, with white brick walls, pops of pink and plants all locally sourced from Columbia Road flower market.

The menu is made up of sharing plates and includes the likes of cod cheeks with tartar sauce, green harissa panisse, tahini labneh with aubergine crisps and flatbread, lamb kofte with herb gremolata and spicy apple pork manti. Yes, it’s gonna be a one of everything kind of sitch, so make sure go with a crowd. And to wash it all down, founder Suley has created a cocktail menu which features some classics like the Espresso Martini (made with neighbour’s Climpson & Sons coffee liqueur), alongside some niche tipples like the Smokey Margarita Sour which has got our name all over it and Suley’s Old Fashioned which remains top secret. Guess you’ll have to go down one Saturday, or any other night that suits, to give it a go for yourself…
