New Indian Restaurant Hotel Dalhousie Is Coming to Notting Hill This Summer

The concept comes from the team behind Tandoor Chop House and Eggbreak

It seems that West London is continuing to grow as a restaurant hotspot as a new neighbourhood Indian restaurant is set to land in Notting Hill this summer. Borrowing its name from the picturesque hill town in northern India, Hotel Dalhousie will have a menu inspired by the region with a specific focus on tandoor-cooked specialities.

The restaurant comes from the same team that brought us Tandoor Chop House and Notting Hill brunch spot Eggbreak and its kitchen will be led by chef Kundan Rawat, who has been at Tandoor Chop House since it opened in 2016 (he will now oversee both restaurants). There’ll be a breakfast offering during the week and a Mighty Thali Feast for brunch at the weekends. As for the lunch and dinner menus, expect the likes of:

  • Galouti Kebab – spiced minced lamb kebab patties with rose water, chana dal and a fresh herb chutney
  • Patrani Macchi – sea bass coated with coconut, green chillies, coriander, garlic and mint
  • Burra Kebab – mutton chops marinated in yoghurt and cream, with spices and peppers
  • Ajwaini prawns – tandoor king prawns with carom seeds, coriander, and cumin

The interiors will be giving retro vibes and there’ll be a bar on the ground floor where you can sip on Indian-inspired cocktails and snack on a dedicated bar menu. Plus, there’ll be a garden out back which sounds like it’ll be the perfect spot for some al fresco dining come the warmer months.
